History:
Dr Duplesis was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and completed most of his formal studies there before traveling extensively, practicing medicine in Canada, Greece, the UK and South Africa. He worked as a cruise ship doctor for three years before settling in London. Dr Duplesis is now in partnership with Dr Joe Omar operating a private Sedation Practice in the West End of London. The practice serves approximately 300 dental practitioners and oral surgeons in the London Area.
Dr Duplesis has a special interest in TIVA (Total Intravenous Sedation) for selected procedures and is of the firm belief that Conscious Sedation is a safe and cost effective alternative to General Anaesthesia. Dr Duplesis is involved with the teaching of safe advanced sedation techniques as this is presently a very dynamic sub division of Anaesthetics. More and more day procedures (both dental and medical) will be done under Intravenous Conscious Sedation in the future.
